Fernando Covas is Executive Director of S&P Global Commodity Insights global natural gas liquids (NGL) consulting/advisory services.Fernando has a broad energy strategy consulting experience working with clients in the United States, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. In his 15 years of experience in consulting, he has led engagements that bring together senior management, business unit leadership, and field personnel. His focus areas are corporate strategy, M&A/due diligence, and innovation/product design. He joined IHS Markit(now part of S&P Global) in 2013 through the acquisition of PacWest Consulting Partners and has worked with private-equity firms, oil and gas exploration and production companies, equipment manufacturers, chemical companies, oilfield services providers, and industrial conglomerates. Previously, Fernando served as a senior consultant with Bridge Strategy Group, where he addressed broad strategic and operational issues, largely in the upstream and utilities sectors, but also across the insurance, healthcare, and industrials verticals. Fernando is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.
