Nicolas Suarez

Senior Economist, S&P Global Market Intelligence

Nicolás is a Senior Economist in charge of covering several of the main Latin American economies.

Nicolás' current research and consulting work focuses on Latin American macroeconomic analysis. Prior to joining the Market Intelligence team, he was a research analyst with the Latin American Climate and Sustainability team at IHS Markit, focusing on gas market fundamentals in Mexico. In addition, he conducted economic analysis and macroeconomic forecasting for Mexico at the Center of Economic Analysis and Research from ITAM University. He also served as a research assistant at the ITAM Center for Energy and Natural Resources, where he specialized in energy and environmental economics.

Nicolás holds a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's degree in applied economics from ITAM. He is based in Mexico City.
