Christiane Stein
Director, Global Heavy Truck Research, S&P Global Mobility
Christiane is a Director in the Global Heavy Truck Research team with overall responsibility for forecasting the production of buses and trucks and specializing in European OEMs.For more than 15 years, Christiane has been looking after forecasts for trucks and buses. She joined the company in mid-2016 and manages the Global Production Forecast for medium and heavy commercial vehicles. This includes OEM intelligence, capacity forecasting, sourcing strategies, and segmentation. Christiane leads a team of analysts located in mainland China, India, South Africa, Brazil, and North America.
Prior to joining S&P Global, Christiane worked nearly ten years in the automotive industry. Her work experience includes positions at MAN Truck & Bus AG and BorgWarner Turbo Systems where she forecasted and segmented the global truck, bus, and passenger car markets.
Recent team efforts have focused on the effects of the COVID pandemic and component shortages on the commercial-vehicle production. The latest product offering by the team is the MHCV Production Capacity Forecast.
Christiane graduated in Business Administration in Leipzig, Germany. Her spoken languages include English, German and Italian.
