Avijoy Sengupta is a low carbon commodity analyst for the Center of Emissions Excellence at S&P Global Commodity Insights.Avijoy is a Low Carbon Commodity Analyst on S&P Global Commodity Insights Center of Emissions Excellence team, currently focused on estimating & publishing emission intensities of upstream oil and gas assets located across North America, Europe and Middle East. He is also leading the center's efforts on gauging emissions intensity of iron-ore and other strategic metals and mining commodities.
Avijoy joined S&P Global in April 2023, prior to this he was working as a senior consulting analyst at a boutique consulting firm focused on the clean energy sector. During his tenure he led and executed research and consulting projects for major energy companies in the Gas, Power, Renewables, Metals and Hydrogen business, including market landscaping, patent analysis, go-to-market strategy, cost buildup analysis, demand and supply optimization, project valuation, BI dashboarding, etc.
Avijoy has a B.tech (B.E) in Applied Petroleum Engineering with a specialization in Gas from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun, India.
