Sidnei Rostirolla
Technical Research Director, S&P Global Commodity Insights
Sidnei Rostirolla is our Technical Research Director covering Upstream Intelligence for Brazil.Sidnei has worked as a researcher, professor, and geoscientist in the oil & gas industry, including senior management and leadership roles. He is a Geologist, with a Doctorate in Regional Geology and Master's in Structural Geology. Sidnei has experience in several basins, covering drilling and seismic operations, exploration and field development, prospect analysis and reserves certification. Sidnei began his career with Petrobras in 1991, working with prospect assessment, then moved to the Federal University of Paraná to teach and lead research projects. Sidnei returned to the industry in 2008 as asset manager at Vale O&G, latterly acting as G&G manager at PetroRio. Prior to his appointment at S&P Global Commodity Insights , Sidnei was head of the subsurface division at Rosneft Brazil.
