Smruti has around 10 years of industry experience working on refinery operations, commissioning, refinery competitive benchmarking, feasibility & market studies for the downstream oil and gas industries. Prior to joining S&P Global Commodity Insights in 2017, Smruti was employed by Indian Oil Corporation Limited for around 6 years in a number of technical, strategic, and commercial positions. He holds B.Tech. degree in Chemical Engineering (2010) from NIT Rourkela and MBA from IIM Lucknow (2017).

Smruti is a certified Energy Auditor-cum-Energy Manager by Bureau of Energy Efficiency and a Lean six sigma green belt certified by KPMG.
