Karen Jones is vice president for business development on the Oil Markets, Midstream, Downstream, and Chemicals team at S&P Global Commodity Insights.With over 30 years of industry experience in international sales and marketing, strategic analysis, planning and business development, backed by S&P Global's global team of industry experts, Karen's primary focus at S&P Global Commodity Insights is assisting organizations with solutions that allow our clients to confidently identify, quantify and capitalize on growth opportunities while minimizing risk. As a partner and Global Fibers Service Director at CMAI (acquired by IHS Markit in 2011) she led a team providing insight and analysis across the polyester and nylon value chains.
After obtaining her Bachelor of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ, Karen held positions of increasing responsibility with Celanese Chemical and later Hoechst Celanese fibers as well as Polymer Group Inc (now part of Berry Global), a leading nonwovens producer. Karen's responsibilities also include contributions to portfolio development in recommending, evaluating and launching new offerings to meet client-driven market needs.
